This ring is of Artemisia’s triumph against the island of Rhodes where they believed a woman could not rule and therefore sent a fleet to attack against her. On the waves of the Aegean sea that are represented in the main body of the ring Artemisia was able to pass through and head to Rhodes where she ultimately won the battle and then directed a statue in her own honour, which is shown by the bronze piece imprinted into the side of the ring.
