Our Story
A Tapestry of Origins
The genesis of The Bow's distinctive design traces back to my childhood, spent enthralled by the allure of my country of ancestry, Turkey. Surrounded by the rich tapestry of Anatolian, Mesopotamian, and Aegean history, I found myself captivated by the imperfect beauty of ancient remnants, unaware that these early explorations would later inspire my artistic journey.
As my adventurous spirit carried me from my birthplace in Vancouver to Istanbul, I found myself drawn to the historic Grand Bazaar. Here, amidst its bustling lanes, I delved into wax sculpting classes, discovering the perfect medium to give life to my creative vision. The tactile quality of wax allowed me to infuse each piece with my emotions, crafting empowering works of art meant to deeply resonate with those who wear them.
The inception of The Bow Jewelry took root when I learned of my pregnancy with my son. In that pivotal moment, I realized my desire to embark on a dual journey—as both an artist and a mother. It became clear to me that I wished to share my stories and feelings of empowerment with others through this artistic conduit.

'Connecting jewelry with stories of women from history continued a theme I began to explore during my extensive international travels while working in fashion. During this time, I forged strong friendships with women around the world. These connections always began through one of us sharing a profound life experience. Our stories of love, loss, hope, birth, and perseverance would connect us as women instantly, no matter our cultural background or age. My works are emotionally charged with this reminder of women's collective divine connection to the past and in the present, inspiring us to tread boldly in our heroines' journey.'
